Valuation Analyst – Financial Reporting (Atlanta, GA / Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on clients, competitors, industry, and capital markets, including market multiples and comparable ratios.
  • Build, modify and utilize financial models for equity, business enterprise and intangible asset valuation using accepted and relevant approaches and theory.
  • Gather and document pertinent data obtained through client interaction.
  • Assist in the valuation of certain interests across a wide range of industries using relevant qualitative informationgathered and through the application of proprietary quantitative valuation models.
  • Assist in preparing formal client report and presentation materials.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Any coursework in valuation, financial statement analysis or securities analysis is a plus.
  •  ASA, CFA, CPA or ABV designations is a plus.
  • Working/advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Self-starter with ability to master new tasks quickly
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and handle dynamic, time-sensitive engagements in a team setting
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours around critical due dates

Base salary: Competitive Base Salary + Generous Quarterly Bonus  and Year-End Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage engagement teams providing valuation, damages analysis, and financial advisory services to clients, including selecting and applying appropriate methodology, writing opinions and reports, and supporting conclusions through audit, regulatory review, or litigation
  • Develop and manage a service line, such as intellectual property analysis, economic damages analysis, shareholder dispute analysis, transfer price analysis, gift and estate tax valuations, income tax valuations, ESOP valuations, or fair value accounting analysis
  •  Proactively call on potential new clients by independently developing a network of referral sources
  • Engage in various other practice development activities (including professional association leadership, conference presentations, and technical publication and scholarship)

     

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in finance, accounting, or economics or MBA degree
  • CPA and/or CFA or related professional credential preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of consulting experience
  • Expert testimony experience required
  • Expert proficiency in generally accepted analytical approaches and methods
  • Management of complex valuation, damages, or transfer price analysis within a litigation context
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

Senior Valuation Associate – Tangible Assets (Atlanta, GA)

Our client is a top consulting firm with offices around the world. They are seeking a Valuation Associate to perform Valuation Services for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will have 3 years dedicated to real estate appraisal and valuations services.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting senior level analysts in completing valuation assignments. Responsibilities will initially include property inspections, market analyses and data management, and will evolve to include the full valuation process. The Associate will provide valuation models, reports and market research to used for fair value estimates of tangible assets and property valuation. Ability to determine depreciation and provide analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving in the valuation industry. One to two years of commercial or real estate valuation experience is required. The position requires superior skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Word, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, focused on quality performance, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

Three years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Business from an accredited college/university

Completion of USPAP;  ASA with Machinery & Equipment (a plus)

Experience with Argus, Microsoft Word and Excel

Effective written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000
