Our client seeks an individual to join their professional services staff as a Business Consultant with a specialty focus on North American Crude Oil and Refined Products. The Business Consultant will assist their clients in the development and documentation of business requirements and the implementation and configuration of their flagship energy trading, risk management, logistics, operations, and settlement software product, as well as their other software modules.
The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in business matters related to the North American crude oil market including trading and scheduling and related business requirements. Must be knowledgeable of onshore/offshore gathering systems, marine and land transport and scheduling across pipelines, barge, vessel, rail, and familiar with demurrage etc.). The candidate should also have knowledge of inventory management, quality banks, grading and blending. Knowledge about refinery operations, NGL and LNG is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Economics
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
Consulting-oriented/customer-facing skills required
Have the ability to work as part of a project team structure on client implementations
Needs to be a problem solver and self starter
Experience in documentation of business requirements, analysis, functional software specifications, test plans, test cases, and acceptance test results
Ability to train clients and other staff members on product features and business concepts within the software functionality
Must be able to travel on a weekly basis to client locations throughout North America

The Senior Sales person will be spearheading growth for our client. They will be responsible for managing the sales team, increasing market share, and driving profitable growth for the organization.
In this highly-visible role, the successful candidate will be expected to reach ambitious revenue goals, build an effective sales strategy, and take part in identifying new channels and future revenue streams for our client.
Reporting directly to the President, they will be managing a sales team (7 Directors of Business Development) that is primarily territory- based. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing continuous sales profitability improvement and capturing market share.
The focus and accountability for this role will be on producing and sustaining profitable sales growth as a first priority.
As a part of the senior management team, the candidate will also be accountable for evangelizing the company’s core values and closely held beliefs in timeless principles: trust, doing the right thing, giving back to the community, and building long-term relationships.
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
Further develop a cohesive sales organization that embraces the organizations vision and is able to deliver our client’s value proposition confidently to the market place
Evaluate, retain, develop, and motivate sales talent to increase results, productivity, job satisfaction, and recruit additional sales talent as necessary
Continually develop and implement best practices
Develop a core activity matrix to manage and benchmark sales activity
Promote and drive the utilization of Maximizer to the fullest to ensure proper reporting, sales activity, and forecasting
Deliver continuous sales training around consultatory sales strategies and methodologies
Introduce and implement value-based selling methodologies which will eventually be reflected in an increase in average deal size for all service offerings
Anticipate growth into new markets and continue to develop existing markets
Make quota recommendations and provide supporting analysis
Hold sales team accountable for pricing, quota and individual goals
Provide accurate and timely forecasting of sales pipeline and revenue projections
Drive process improvements within the sales function
Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably an MBA.
The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of progressive experience in sales including at least 10 years in a sales management position.
