Our Client, is seeking seasoned professionals to further expand its market presence in the stock-based compensation and complex securities advisory services arena. The will consist of expanding the volume and variety of engagements and well as building a team of professionals to meet client service needs.

Company practice areas include complex financial reporting, valuation, corporate finance, dispute resolution, enterprise risk, outsourcing, process and technology, reserve engineering and geosciences, restructuring, strategy and organization, and tax.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA a plus)
  • 8-12+ years relevant experience preferably with some Big 4 expertise.
  • CFA / CPA Certification preferred

Public Accounting national network is highly favored as the firm is actively expanding.

Base salary: $200-$275K

Tax Senior (Houston, TX)

Responsibilities:

  • Complete moderately complex projects accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently
  • Participate in staff training and tax department meetings
  • Prepare high level corporate and individual  returns, familiar with various state tax returns, major credits, current relief acts, and prepare provisions/Fin 48 analysis
  • Provide assistance to peers and others when requested

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst – Energy. The ideal candidate must possess a strong financial modeling background, as well as have an analytical orientation and business development skills. Expertise in the Energy sector is necessary. This position is great for a candidate interested in gaining experience with a variety of investment securities and valuation methodologies, as well a pursuing a CFA designation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on client, competitors, industry, and capital markets, including market multiples, comparable ratios, and credit spreads.
  • Gather and document pertinent data obtained through client interaction.
  • Build, modify and utilize financial models for discounted cash flow, guideline market multiple, market transaction, fixed income and option valuations.
  • Perform valuation analyses on companies and their securities across a wide range of subsectors within the energy sector, including, but not limited to, oil and gas exploration and production, oil and gas midstream, oil and gas downstream, MLPs, cogeneration, renewable energy, etc., using relevant qualitative information gathered and through the application of proprietary quantitative valuation models.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field. Masters degree is required. Coursework in valuation or securities analysis is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of relevant energy-focused work experience. Master Limited Partnerships (MLP) and Exploration & Production (E&P) Market experience is required.
  • Background in credit analysis is preferred.
  • Advanced, working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are imperative.
  • Self starter and ability to master new tasks quickly.

Excellent opportunity to work on top deals, gain and develop key industry contacts, and be responsible for revenue generation. This senior leadership position is that of a Doer /Seller, and manage valuation engagements while being instrumental in business development activities.

 

Responsibilities:

Providing financial advisory services in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts and public and private financings as well as for financial and tax reporting purposes;

Rendering financial opinions with respect to valuation, fairness and solvency;

Performing valuations of businesses, equity and debt securities, loans, derivative instruments, structured products and intangible assets;

Performing detailed due diligence including site visitations, management interviews, review of strategic alternatives and legal documentation as well as business, financial, industry, and market research and analysis;

Constructing and maintaining sophisticated, scenario driven financial and valuation models including analysis of financing alternatives, cash flow and IRR analysis, LBO/debt repayment analysis, accretion/dilution analysis, sum-of-the-parts valuation, discounted cash flow valuation, comparable public company valuation, comparable merger and acquisition valuation, loan pricing and derivative pricing;

Continually monitoring certain economic, industry, capital market and company trends and developments;

Preparing and presenting detailed financial analyses and reports to directors, senior managers, lenders and shareholders;

Interacting and coordinating with equity sponsors, investment bankers, accountants and attorneys on a daily basis;

Managing multiple engagements simultaneously with tight-deadlines in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment;

Developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients through periodic conversations and meetings;

Conducting business development and support including prospecting for new clients and leads, preparing and presenting marketing materials as well as scoping, pricing and negotiating assignments.
