Responsibilities:
• Manage and deliver valuation services in an assigned geographic area
• Review and analyze U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial statements
• Research publicly traded comparable companies
• Supervise and mentor staff
• Assist in business development efforts

Qualifications:
• Five years of experience with advisory related projects, in valuations, with an audit, tax and advisory firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business from an accredited college/university
• Experience with valuations of business entities and intangible assets, purchase price allocations, analyzing goodwill and long lived asset impairment, supporting a company’s value for bidding or asking price plans, litigation support and financial analysis and research
• Understanding of the capital markets
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment

Our client is seeking a junior Desk Strategists to join the front office commodities strategies team. Desk Strategists will collaborate with commodity traders on risk analysis, risk reporting, and value added trading strategies. Desk Strategists are responsible for the creation of product valuation models, data analysis, trading strategy analytics, and risk and valuation tools to be used by traders and fellow Desk Strats to better understand risk and to better identify market opportunities.
This role will be considered at the Associate level.

Minimum Requirements:

1)MS in a quantitative field (PhD is a plus)
2)Strong skills in applied mathematics, statistics, stochastic processes, basic knowledge of option theory, basic knowledge of financial markets. Ability to translate abstract mathematical concepts into practical solutions to every-day problems.
3)Strong hands-on technology skills are a core requirement (C++, Matlab).

This high energy team is responsible supporting valuation models and systems, and providing our customers with mark-to-market prices for Municipal bonds using Company’s in-house analytics and industry renowned database. You will be joining a team of professionals with extensive and varied experience, including evaluators, traders, portfolio managers and sales people. - Superior Excel based research and analysis skills, including the ability to create financial models and perform statistical analysis preferred
