Valuation Associate – Financial Reporting (Boston, MA)

Our client is a top rated independent valuation practice seeking an analyst to join their Boston team .This candidate should have concentrated financial reporting valuation experience and strong experience with fairness/solvency opinions.  This would include Equity valuations, Purchase price allocations, Goodwill impairments, Solvency opinions, and Equity Allocations (Option Pricing Models).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build, modify and utilize financial models for business enterprise (DCF, market multiples, ) and intangible asset valuation (excess earnings method, relief-from-royalty, etc.)
  • Value complex securities and contingent consideration using option pricing and Monte Carlo simulation models
  • Synthesize company background materials, industry dynamics, capital markets data, and valuation analysis into client-ready deliverables

 

Requirements: 

  • BS or BA, major in Finance a plus. Any coursework in valuation or securities analysis is a
  • CFA designation or be in the process of obtaining
  • 2 to 5 years work experience at a valuation firm or a valuation group within a public accounting firm, preferably with some financial reporting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and analytical capabilities are essential
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and handle dynamic, time-sensitive engagements in a small team
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours around critical due

Location: Boston, MA (remote start)

Salary: Competitive Base * Plus Quarterly & Year End Bonus
