Our client is seeking Business Development professionals for their NYC location. This is an excellent opportunity to work on top deals, as well as gain and develop key industry contacts.

These candidates should have concentrated Business Development experience.

Candidates can come from financial software or a broker dealer. Private Equity experience required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERATING LARGE SALES REVENUE.
  • Prospecting and developing new leads as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients through meetings and attending industry events.
  • Responsible for managing client relationships and business development within the financial, corporate and asset management communities.
  • Interacting and coordinating with equity sponsors, investment bankers, accountants and attorneys.
  • Conducting business development and support including prospecting for new clients and leads, preparing and presenting marketing materials as well as scoping, pricing and negotiating assignments.
  • Business generation in valuations of businesses, equity and debt securities, loans, derivative instruments, structured products and intangible assets.
  • Selling financial advisory services in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts and public and private financings as well as for financial and tax reporting purposes.
  • Selling financial opinions with respect to valuation, fairness and solvency.
  • Continually monitoring certain economic, industry, capital market and company trends and developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or another related field. Masters is preferred.  CFA preferred.
  •  8+ years of successful Private Equity / Business Development experience selling to businesses and institutions.
  • Must have contacts in Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Corporations, CPAs, and Attorneys.
  • Experience in Valuation field required.
  • Excellent Prospecting skills.
  • Long hours and insight and desire to keep up with the M&A service advisors.

 

Location: NY / NJ / IL / FL (other areas will be considered)

Salary: $120K-$150K range  plus  Bonus / Commission plan

Fund Manager – Investor Relations Director REITs (Fresno, CA)

Our client has been in business for 15+ years, but just recently launched its first “Mortgage Fund” for capital raise in connection with its lending activities.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Experience in Fund and/or REIT capital raise with emphasis and understanding of 506 Regulation D fund exemption with accredited investors,
  • Develop the infancy stages of the fund and raise capital in connection with developing investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.
  • Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework.
  • Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
  • Manage equity research and investor relationships.
  • Provide insights on market activity and present them to the leadership team.
  • Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing quarterly earnings, conference calls and monthly performance newsletter 
  • Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance preferred.
  •      5+ years experience dealing with investors and a strong proven track record raising capital,  creating positive relations with the investor community and Equity Research Analysts.
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry.
  • Intimately familiar with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
  • strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer trends

Responsibilities:

Conduct research on client, competitors, industry, and capital markets, including market multiples, comparable ratios, and credit spreads.

Gather and document pertinent data obtained through client interaction.

Build, modify and utilize financial models for discounted cash flow, guideline market multiple, market transaction, fixed income and option valuations.

Perform valuation analyses on companies and their securities across a wide range of industries using relevant qualitative information gathered and through the application of proprietary quantitative valuation models.

Assist in preparing formal client reports.

Requirements:

Recent graduate to 3 years dependent on relevant work experience and education.

Undergraduate BS or BA, or a Graduate MS or MBA degree in Finance. Any coursework in valuation or securities analysis a plus.

Advanced, working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential.

Senior Associate – Valuation & Portfolio Analysis (NYC)

Our client is a top asset management firm with offices around the world. Our Client provides a broad range of investment and advisory services.

The valuation and portfolio analysis team manages the quarterly private equity valuation process, prepares portfolio performance analysis, supports business development and marketing initiatives, and is involved in various strategic initiatives including (but not limited to) financial forecasting.  The team is based in Our client’s New York office and is supported by an offshore team.  The assistant vice president will report directly to the valuation and portfolio analysis team leader.

Responsibilities:

Analyze data and materials related to fund and co-investment portfolios across 300+ legal entities;

Prepare and analyze various investment track records for business development, marketing, client-specific requests, and management;

Prepare and analyze revenue, carried interest, and expense forecasting;

Review quarterly co-investment valuation information;

Analyze fund investment valuations provided by managers and prepare summary information;

Maintain fund and co-investment watch lists summarizing underperforming and challenged investments;

Generate portfolio construction models/analyses and cash flow models;

Perform complex data management and analysis including investment portfolio analytics and investment modeling;

Manage multiple projects/requests simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met; and

Perform various ad-hoc and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience, including an understanding of valuation approaches and methods;

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics;

Master’s degree in Business, Finance or Economics preferred;

Professional certifications preferred: CFA or CPA;

Exceptional MS Excel skills with the ability to build macros;

Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis;

Ability to develop financial models including building models from scratch;

Alternative Investment sector experience;

In-depth understanding of investment performance, assets under management, asset allocation and risk exposure strongly preferred;

Experience working with offshore teams preferred;
