Our client is seeking Equity Analysts/Credit Analysts. Each analyst role covers one of the following areas:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of companies in the defined sector.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models.
  • Conduct meetings with industry management teams, and present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees.

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or another related field. Masters preferred.
  • CFA/CPA is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience which must include a background within one of the noted sectors above.
  • Must have working experience in one of the above areas noted in position summary.

 

Location: NYC

Salary Range: $130 to $210K Plus bonus

Responsibilities:
• Identify and calculate value of assets by providing independent and well-supported valuations to clients.
• Perform local, national and international real estate market analysis. Analysis includes public and private entities.

• Mentor and supervise staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience performing commercial real estate valuations, preferably in an accounting firm.
• Solid understanding of Discounted Cash Flow modeling in both ARGUS and Excel
• Strong background in managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
• Excellent advisory, compliance, verbal and written communication skills required.

Manager, Financial Due Diligence (Chicago, IL)

Responsibilities:
• Manage transaction advisory engagements (buy-side and sell-side). Provide due diligence assistance (financial and business) to companies and private equity investors.
• Oversee direction of client management.
• Manage teams, and third party diligence groups during transaction process.
• Analyze company data to target past and projected operational and financial trends.
• Assess company data for specific reasons of quality of earnings and working capital options. Also review for potential liabilities and risks, which would impact valuation and negotiation of the target company

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field. CPA is preferred.
• Minimum five to seven years of related work experience. Minimum four years of experience in top ten public accounting firm: accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transaction experience.
• Excellent project management experience that includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project
• Strong current knowledge in one or more of: United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Securities and Exchange Commission financial reporting issues, International Financial Reporting Standards , mergers and acquisitions, or transaction services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel fifty percent annually including potential international travel

Valuation Associate and Senior Valuation Associate (Central NJ)

The Valuation Associate and  Senior Associate roles will be involved in many aspects of financial valuation and advisory services to a variety of clientele. Specifically, they will report to the head of the firm’s transaction and advisory practice, they will manage sell-side and buy-side M&A activities and fairness opinion services.  In addition they will be responsible for advisory and valuation engagements to analyze potential liquidity options available to middle-market companies, effect corporate restructuring, create new classes of equity, maintain compliance with Employee Stock Ownership Plans and other ERISA plans, and effect intra-family ownership transfers, among others.

The ideal candidate should have concentrated valuation experience and strong experience with fairness/solvency opinions.  Direct current experience in ASC 350/805  (Goodwill Impairment) a must. As well as an advanced, working knowledge of Excel and Word.  Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential. Must have quant skills and be familiar with financial modeling. A degree in Finance is required. An MBA and/or CFA (or CFA candidate) are also preferred. A background in accounting coursework is important and relevant to the responsibilities of the position.

Senior Level Associate Candidate will have 2-4 years experience.

Associate Level Candidate will have 1-2 years experience.
