Transaction Advisory – CPA, Director (NYC / San Francisco, CA)

Our client is one of the largest leading full-service accounting and advisory firms in the United States. They provide audit, accounting and tax services, as well as corporate finance, internal audit and risk management, litigation consulting, forensic accounting and other professional advisory services to a broad range of clients across many industries. Working with high net worth individuals, family offices, closely-held businesses, start-ups, middle market and Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze target company financial and operating results to identify non-recurring, unusual or out-of-period transactions that affect reported earnings.
  • Write and review reports to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Lead multiple chargeable projects and effectively communicate with clients and other service lines.
  • Ability to identify transaction risks and key deal issues.
  • Effectively supervises and acts as a role model for seniors and managers.
  • Develop agendas and lead meetings with target management.
  • Maintain periodic communications with the engagement MD/partner and client regarding project status and potential deal issues as they arise.
  • Participate in marketing and business development programs, including attending industry conferences.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and CPA credentials required
  • 7-10 years of accounting/audit experience.
  • Financial due diligence on both sell side and buy side is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP, SEC and IFRS
  • Experience in project management and client-facing activities, including leading client presentations, business development meetings, developing work plans, planning and execution of work, supervising staff, and coordinating with other internal and external service providers.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Powerpoint and excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

** Role includes 20-30% travel
