The International Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of a full range of expatriate services. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; including review of individual income tax returns; developing and managing staff; and working closely with partners, directors, and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare or review US individual income tax returns for inbound and outbound international assignees.
•Prepare or review international assignment cost projection calculations, as required.
•Participate in arrival and departure tax meetings for expatriates and inpatriates.
•Research and consult on various tax matters.
•Prepare client correspondence on various individual tax issues.
•Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects.
•Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development, as appropriate.
Required Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MST a Plus
•Candidate should be familiar with the individual income tax issues and tax law including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance, and the tax equalization process.
•Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive tax practice, results-based team environment.
•Computer expertise including knowledge of Go Systems RS .
•Licensed CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
•Experience with a Big 4 firm or National Accounting firm preferred
•Four or more years of progressive tax consulting experience, preferably with at least two years focused on international taxation preferred.
