Company practice areas include complex financial reporting, valuation, corporate finance, dispute resolution, enterprise risk, outsourcing, process and technology, reserve engineering and geosciences, restructuring, strategy and organization, and tax.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA a plus)
  • 8-12+ years relevant experience preferably with Big 4 expertise.
  • CFA / CPA Certification preferred

 

Location: Any Major U.S. City 

Base salary: $200-$275K plus bonus

Financial Analyst – Financial Reporting Valuation (Milwaukee, WI)

Our client is a top rated independent financial advisory & valuation practice expanding their Milwaukee office.

The Financial Analyst will primarily perform primarily perform valuations for purchase price
allocation, impairment testing purposes, and stock compensation expense.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze competitive industry dynamics and financial conditions of peer companies, evaluate business plans, adjust financial statements, and build cost allocation models
  • Conduct research on client, competitors, industry, and capital markets, including market multiples, comparable ratios, and credit spreads.
  • Participate in due diligence activities on pending M&A transactions, public-company purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment measurement, international restructurings and private-company fairness opinions
  • Assist in report preparation, proposals and executive presentations
  • Research comparable publicly-traded companies
  • Gather and document pertinent data obtained through client interaction. .
  • Perform valuation analyses on companies and their securities across a wide range of industries using relevant qualitative information gathered and through the application of proprietary quantitative valuation models.
  • Assist in preparing formal client reports.

Requirements:

1-3 years work experience at a valuation firm or public accounting firm.

Undergraduate BS or BA, or a Graduate MS or MBA degree in Finance from top college. Any coursework in valuation or securities analysis a plus.

Must have CFA or be in the process of obtaining it.

Advanced, working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential.

Self starter and ability to master new tasks quickly.

Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and handle dynamic, time-sensitive engagements in a team setting.

Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours around critical due dates.

Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (Milwaukee / Chicago / Philadelphia / NYC)

Our client, a leading, independent, full-service valuation consulting firm that has provided objective and supportable conclusions of value to the US and international business communities for over thirty-seven years. Their services have been utilized in support of client mergers and acquisitions, financing, tax and financial reporting and other unique requirements. The practice consists of a group of professionals with an established reputation for providing expert and independent opinions of value for capital stock, equity interests, business enterprises, intangible assets, real estate, personal property, solvency and fairness. With corporate offices in Milwaukee, we maintain operational offices nationwide. Through their international affiliates, their capabilities extend globally.

Responsibilities initially include property inspections, market analyses and data management, and will evolve to include the full valuation process. The position requires moderate travel (approximately 30-35%).

The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving in the valuation industry. An undergraduate degree in engineering is preferable, with accounting or finance skills also helpful. The position requires superior skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Word, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Given our firm’s complex multi-disciplinary assignments, the successful candidate must be highly motivated, focused on quality performance, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business , Accounting, or Engineering will be considered

Appraiser – Real Estate (East Coast)

Our client is a Milwaukee based top rated practice seeking an East Coast Associate with primarily Industrial / Commercial valuation experience. Excellent opportunity to work on top deals, gain and develop key industry contacts.

*Must be familiar with Audit Review. Purchase Price Allocation, Real Property Valuation & Leases with certifications*

* Book of Clients highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Perform in-depth industry, market, and competitor research

Perform local, national, and international real estate market analysis on a wide range of public and private entities using all accepted and relevant approaches and theory

Design valuation models for discounted cash flow analysis (Argus and Excel), comparable property sales models, and construction cost models

Independently gather data pertinent to the engagement through direct client interaction, including personal and telephone interviews with brokers and property managers

Review industry surveys and benchmarks, economics, and demographic trends

Assist with preparing and presenting the results

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science/Business Administration in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, MS in Real Estate, MS in Finance, or MBA from an accredited college or university

Minimum three years of experience in real property valuation or consulting

Candidate for MAI (Member of Appraisal Institute) and state licensed as a Certified General Appraiser a plus

Solid foundation of valuation principals and methodology as they relate to the analysis of fee and leasehold/leased fee real estate interests

Strong analytical, comprehension, and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are essential

Direct experience in meeting the requirements of purchase price allocation under ASC 805 and providing support through the audit review process a plus

Demonstrated leadership and strong personal integrity

Must be self-starting, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment

Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results

 

Location: East Coast

Salary: $80K-$150K based upon experience + Bonus & Commission
