Responsibilities

  • Review real estate partnership/corporate returns.
  • Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff.
  • Experience in working with REITs.
  • Perform research and draft memoranda on real estate issues.
  • Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work.
  • Make suggestions to help improve efficiencies, within department and on engagements.
  • Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate interest and knowledge of clients’ businesses.

Qualifications

  • BS and/or Masters in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
  • CPA / JD required
  • 7+ years solid experience in Real Estate Tax.
  • Superb communications skills (written and verbal).

Fund Manager – Investor Relations Director REITs (Fresno, CA)

Our client has been in business for 15+ years, but just recently launched its first “Mortgage Fund” for capital raise in connection with its lending activities.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Experience in Fund and/or REIT capital raise with emphasis and understanding of 506 Regulation D fund exemption with accredited investors,
  • Develop the infancy stages of the fund and raise capital in connection with developing investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.
  • Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework.
  • Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
  • Manage equity research and investor relationships.
  • Provide insights on market activity and present them to the leadership team.
  • Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing quarterly earnings, conference calls and monthly performance newsletter 
  • Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance preferred.
  •      5+ years experience dealing with investors and a strong proven track record raising capital,  creating positive relations with the investor community and Equity Research Analysts.
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry.
  • Intimately familiar with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
  • strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer trends
  •  Entrepreneurial, client-minded focus,
  • Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines and mandatory monthly capital raise metrics,
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring employees and investors .

Real Estate Senior Structured Products Analyst (NYC or Central NJ)

Our client is a leader in financial advisory. Seeking a Senior Analyst with concentrated real estate valuation experience and strong experience with complex financial instruments.

Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a candidate with heavy quantitative skills. The candidate will be responsible for supporting valuation services: specifically complex financial instruments. They will perform analysis and review model functionality, evaluate, and document the methodology employed, assumptions used and conclusions reached. The ideal candidate will have experience valuing structured products as well. They will be responsible for presenting valuation concepts to institutional clients which consist of hedge funds, private equity, pensions and endowments and financial institutions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in math, physics or engineering from an accredited college/university. MBA and/or CFA is strongly preferred.
• Strong background with Structured Products and/or REITS experience required.
• Excellent ability to understand real estate from a financial perspective, from either a REIT or structured product standpoint.
• 5 years plus experience with options/derivatives valuations
• Exposure to structured credit asset classes like CMBS or CLOs and/or CDOs
• Experience with RMBS analysis is a plus
• Modeling experience with Intex
• Some familiarity with other market data applications such as Bloomberg is essential
• Some entrepreneurial experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary: $100K Base Plus Annual Bonus and Quarterly Profit Share
