Derivatives Software Vendor seeks Technical Marketing Writer for Global Marketing Team.
Under direct supervision and as integral part of the Marketing team, the Technical Marketing Writer creates and maintains content to support overall marketing plans. This position requires excellent writing skills and knowledge of the derivatives trading industry and current trends and issues in the Financial Services market.
The Technical Marketing Writer will create, edit and maintain product marketing materials, sales tools and web content. This includes creating materials to promote the products to current and prospective customers, press and industry analysts. Candidates must have the ability to successfully manage multiple complex assignments and meet tight deadlines.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall technical and product marketing writing responsibilities
Collaborate with the Marketing team and Product Management on development of all product, technology and company collateral
Integral member of the web marketing team, supplying fresh content to company websites and social media outlets
Create press releases, case studies, marketing white papers and contributed articles/advertorials
Interview clients, managers and others to collect information for written pieces
Manage editorial calendar of targeted publications and pitch stories/case studies
Develop content for customer e-newsletter
Support Marketing team as needs arise for proofing, writing and other ad hoc projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years experience as a writer/editor for a software company
Minimum of BA in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
4+ years experience in marketing, technical writing or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the specific ability to understand and convey technical information in a non-technical manner
An understanding of the markets, industries and functions related to the derivatives trade/transaction life cycle
Can work independently and in a team environment
Ability to build relationships with others, working well cross-departmentally and with customers and business partners
Strong research, analytical and organizational skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
Strong MS Office Suite skills
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional experience at a software vendor
Experience being the lead writer on technical and product marketing collateral
Understanding software users and buyer personas including demographics, business functions, professional motivations, technical knowledge and company profiles
The desire to remain current with developments in the derivatives/financial services industry
