Responsibilities:
• Perform analysis, design and configuration of all system components. Define Department/Clinical requirements including: SEC, Enterprise Security Groups and Rights and Environment Profile Settings.
• Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
• Ensures all quality assurance processes are followed, including change management and testing efforts.
• Partner effectively with Business Analyst to understand the client’s product-specific requirements and configuration and be able to translate them to technical design specifications and data flow from which programs are developed and coded.
• Work with Business Analysts during the software build or configuration and testing process.
• Perform technical application configuration and configure/run reports at user request.
• Design and execute unit, functional and integration test plans for new developments/releases/reports.
• Maintain technical documentation based on standard operating procedures in support of the assigned application.
• Participate in testing of software upgrades and system enhancements
• Create knowledge transfer points with other team members to improve overall team education level
• Take complete ownership for assigned projects/tasks and provide regular updates on the progress of the project/task to all stakeholders.
• Provide accurate and timely information and escalates when there are issues.
• Provide production and maintenance support for application issues.
• Identify, coordinate and communicate issues, requirements and updates related to application functionality with other team members and software vendors.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of workflow policy and procedure changes, related to the software implementation.
• Respond to help desk calls and work with clinical users to resolve issues.
• Provide on-call rotation support for the SCM and SEC application.
• Provide on-site support during Activations.
Required Experience
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Healthcare or another related field. Masters preferred.
• 3-5 years EMR experience in in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of HL7 functionality
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and maintain technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients
• Support 24/7 healthcare system with varying go-live schedules.
• Solid foundation of Microsoft Office
Location: New Hyde Park, NY
Salary: $110K-$122K
