Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the team of Managing Directors, Senior Directors, Directors and Managers, primarily with project execution
  • Conduct research, synthesize information and develop reports
  • Use a variety of tools to conduct extensive data analyses and modeling

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in a business-related major (accounting/finance preferred)
  • 2+ years of work experience, or relevant internship experience
  • Experience gained at a prestigious accounting or consulting firm, investment bank or independent valuation firm, or coursework/training in financial valuation preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Self-starter; desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture

Valuation Manager/ Senior Analyst – Financial Reporting (Chicago, IL)

They are seeking a Manager – Financial Reporting for their financial reporting valuation group. The ideal candidate will perform and review valuations for financial reporting purposes through the use of modeling and comparative analyses.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed industry and economic research for client engagements used for financial reporting purposes.

Gather financial information and subject company data from client personnel.

Determine fair value of business enterprises, equity interests, and intangible assets (relationships, contracts, developed technology, trade-names, workforce) required for financial reporting.

Create financial models, perform discounted cash flow analysis and comparable company analysis.

Value private equity interests in debt, preferred equity, common equity, and warrants for fair value reporting purposes

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business administration;  ASA and/or CFA is credentials a plus.
  • 4-8 years of work experience in Financial Reporting Valuation.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years experience

Direct current experience in ASC 350/805  (Goodwill Impairment) a must

Strong writing and presentation skills; experience preparing and reviewing valuation reports

Strong technical skills including MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills

Strong proficiency with on-line databases (Capital IQ) and Internet research of company specific, industry and economic analysis

Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential.

Must have quant skills and be familiar with financial modeling

A degree in Finance is required. An MBA and/or CFA (or CFA candidate) are also preferred.

Responsibilities include analyzing companies’ historical and projected financial statements, developing traditional financial valuation methodologies (such as discounted cash flow and market comparable analyses), researching industries using Internet or other sources, performing due diligence review, and communicating results through written reports and presentations. The ideal candidate should have concentrated valuation experience and strong experience with fairness/solvency opinions. And specifically with expertise in valuing common stock of operating entities and interests in investment holding entities (including family partnerships and/or hedge funds and PE funds).  Direct current experience in ASC 350/805  (Goodwill Impairment) a must. As well as an advanced, working knowledge of Bloomberg and Excel modeling; FactSet experience a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential. Must have quant skills and be familiar with financial modeling. A degree in Finance is required. Progress towards an ASA or CFA designation also a plus. A background in accounting coursework is important and relevant to the responsibilities of the position. The ideal candidate would have 1-3 years experience only.

 Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking a candidate with heavy quantitative skills.. The role has two needs; The first is a background in Stock Compensation. The second  is strong prior experience with CLO’s. The candidate will be responsible for supporting valuation services: specifically complex financial instruments. They will perform analysis and review model functionality, evaluate, and document the methodology employed, assumptions used and conclusions reached. The ideal candidate will have experience valuing structured products as well. They will have exceptional communication skills. They will be responsible for presenting valuation concepts to institutional clients which consist of hedge funds, private equity, pensions and endowments and financial institutions.

Qualifications:

5 years plus experience with options/derivatives valuations

Bachelor’s degree in math, physics or engineering from an accredited college/university

Experience in stock compensation

Exposure to structured credit asset classes like CMBS or CLOs and/or CDOs

Experience with RMBS analysis is a plus

Modeling experience with Intex

Some familiarity with other market data applications such as Bloomberg is essential

Some entrepreneurial experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills
