Responsibilities:
- Complete moderately complex projects accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently
- Participate in staff training and tax department meetings
- Prepare high level corporate and individual returns, familiar with various state tax returns, major credits, current relief acts, and prepare provisions/Fin 48 analysis
- Provide assistance to peers and others when requested
- Create positive impression with client by exhibiting professional competence and ability
- Put forth a diligent effort to pass CPA Exam and advance technical knowledge
- Proactively participates in professional development opportunities, i.e. Mentoring Program
- Recognize extended to tax service opportunities at client and brings them to the attention of upper management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar. Master’s a plus.
- Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam, or current CPA credentials preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Understand all aspects of engagement
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and tax standards to effectively supervise staff and solve routine engagement principles.
- Strong technology skills, with proficiency in Axcess
