Accounting Manager & Sr. Accountant- General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Accruals (Essex County, NJ)

Our Client, an innovative healthcare provider is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Central NJ team.

Responsibilities:
• Review and preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements
• Process expense reports
• Analysis of chargeback items, including travel and other miscellaneous expenses, including review and
correction of variances
• Cash reconciliation
• Track metrics used as assumption in accounting – reimbursement discounts and bad debt reserves and charges
• Review and check postings from various modules, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets,
and expense management to determine accuracy
• Monthly reconciliations – revenue, A/R, bank, etc.
• Month end related journal entries
• Special projects as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field of study and work experience in the accounting field.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience, health care industry would be a plus.
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically excel) and QuickBooks.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Demonstration of the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be capable of functioning with flexibility in assignments.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communications.

Salary Range: $130 to $210K Plus bonus

Responsibilities:

Manage and deliver valuation services in the Life Sciences or Pharma Industries. Rendering financial opinions with respect to valuation, fairness and solvency. Performing detailed due diligence including site visitations, management interviews, review of strategic alternatives and legal documentation as well as business, financial, industry, and market research and analysis.  Constructing and maintaining sophisticated, scenario driven financial and valuation models. Continually monitoring certain economic, industry, company trends and developments. Preparing and presenting detailed financial analyses and reports. Conducting business development and support including prospecting for new clients and leads, preparing and presenting marketing materials as well as scoping, pricing and negotiating assignments. Supervise, mentor, and facilitate the development of consulting skills for staff including valuation principles, communication, time management, and client product delivery.

Requirements:

* At least five years of relevant experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business* CFA or ASA required

* Experience in the Pharma or Life Sciences verticals

* Prior Management experience required

* A thorough understanding of valuation theory and practice.

* Superior written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment
