Our Client is seeking Business Development Professionals for their Private Equity team focused on Inside Sales. Ideal candidate will be able to maintain / build relationships while generating corporate sales.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify target companies and key individuals at those companies
• Initiate communications with companies and conduct ongoing follow up
• Monitor M&A activity and trends in the territory and track M&A activity at target companies
• Provide research support for meetings
• Develop marketing collateral, presentations and meeting materials
• Attend networking and other professional events

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or another related field. Masters is preferred.  CFA or CPA is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of business development experience with a concentration in inside sales
  •  Strong verbal, written communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and collaborate with internal teams to manage time-sensitive engagements
  • Strong work ethic and capacity to work flexible hours around critical due dates
  • A broad knowledge of finance
  • Comfort and experience dealing with private equity firms and corporate finance and accounting staff
  • Experience with private equity and/or investment banking a must.
  • General understanding of valuation and/or financial reporting also a plus

 

Location: NY / NJ based remote position

Salary: $70K plus generous profit-share & bonus

Analyst – Portfolio Valuation (NYC/Remote)

Our client is a top rated independent valuation practice.

This candidate should have concentrated financial reporting valuation experience and strong experience with fairness/solvency opinions.  This would include Tax valuation, Litigations, Equity valuations, Purchase price allocations, Goodwill impairments, Solvency opinions, and Equity Allocations (Option Pricing Models).

The Valuation Analyst will be involved in many aspects of financial valuation and advisory services to a variety of clientele.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration or another related field is required. Masters Degree and/or CFA Designation (or CFA candidate) preferred.

2 to 5 years  experience, preferably at a valuation or accounting firm, Big 4 experience is a strong plus.

Must have background/exposure with financial reporting, accounting and valuation issues, as well as  financial modeling.

Direct current experience in ASC 350/805  (Goodwill Impairment) a must.

Background in generating financial valuation modeling utilizing standard methodology practices, as well as common stock option valuations experience under 409A.

Strong writing and presentation skills; experience preparing and reviewing valuation reports.

Strong technical skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

Strong proficiency with on-line databases (Capital IQ) and Internet research of company specific, industry and economic analysis

Base salary: up to $120K plus bonus & generous quarterly profit-share

Our client is a leading financial advisory firm hiring a Specialist  in Trust, Estates and Gift Tax to their team. You would perform business appraisals and valuations primarily for estate tax planning purposes to closely held businesses, trusts, estates, and family businesses. This position would report into a Partner in the firm.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or another related field is required. Master’s Degree and/or CFA Designation (or CFA candidate) preferred. American Society of Appraisers – Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation preferred.  CPA or ABV a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years valuation experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years working with trust, estates and gift tax for estate tax planning purposes.
  • Working experience with Excel modeling required.
  • Background in generating financial valuation modeling utilizing standard methodology practices that include Discounted Cash Flows and Comparables.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; experience preparing and reviewing valuation reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Quarterly valuations of illiquid securities across a variety of asset classes including senior debt, warrants, common equity and preferred equity.
  • Experience utilizing a variety of valuation approaches including discounted cash flow, market multiples, market transaction and option pricing analyses.
  • Complete activities surrounding the year end valuation audits, third party valuation reviews, and other various audit inquiries regarding processes and conclusions.
  • Assist with the preparation of valuation materials for presentation to valuation and audit committees

Requirements:
