** This position will work a hybrid schedule 3 days in office / 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute work plans for forensic accounting investigations, fraud investigations, dispute engagements and matrimonial matters.
- Analyze financial statements, damage models and other accounting and financial related documents
- Involved in the preparation and reviewing of valuation reports and related supporting documentation
- Performing online database research.
- Independently conduct research on technical accounting issues
- Perform analysis of accounting and financial issues in relation to forensic investigations and commercial damage claims. Identify issues and anomalies in data and effectively communicate such issues to team members
- Review and analyze historical financial data
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or similar. CPA or track preferred
- 3+ years of experience in the forensic accounting, litigation, valuation, audit or accounting related field
- Valuation credentials, or pursuit of such credentials, a plus (ASA/AM, CPA/ABV, CVA, AVA, CFA)
- Ability to critically think and is a problem-solver
- Strong writing and presentation skills; experience preparing and reviewing valuation reports
- Willingness to take on all tasks and contribute to the engagement as a team member without distinction to level or task
- Ability to work with large data sets efficiently. Prior experience with data analytics a plus
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
