Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate valuations of companies, securities and intangible assets across a wide range of industries by using relevant information gathered through client interaction and market research, utilizing proprietary quantitative valuation models.
  • Conducting research on clients, competitors, industries and capital markets, including market multiples, financial ratios, and discount rates.
  • Management of valuation engagements from the planning stage to presentation of a client-ready deliverable
  • Supervision of junior staff concerning technical judgment and project execution and analysis.
  • Build and maintain ongoing client relationships

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration or another related field is required. MBA preferred. CFA track a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years  experience, preferably at a valuation or accounting firm. Must have background in financial reporting, accounting and valuation issues, as well as  financial modeling.
  • Direct current experience in ASC 350/805  a must.
  • Background in generating financial valuation modeling utilizing standard methodology practices, as well as common stock option valuations experience under 409A.  Prior ASC 718 experience is ideal, as the majority of the work will be working on these engagements.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills; experience preparing and reviewing valuation reports.
  • Strong technical skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong proficiency with on-line databases (Capital IQ) and Internet research of company specific, industry and economic analysis

Base salary: $130K-$170K + Generous Quarterly Bonus  and Year-End Bonus

Sr. Associate – Portfolio Valuation (Boston, MA / Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and work with analysts and associates to conduct relevant research to support valuations, including analyses of subject company valuation drivers, research on private equity and private credit cost of capital, research and analysis of relevant industries and end markets, and comparable analyses
  • Supervise less experienced team members, reviewing work, and over time taking on more direct client interaction.

  • FA/ASA designation preferred. CAIA designation or progress towards is a plus

Qualifications:

5 years plus experience with options/derivatives valuations

Modeling experience with Intex
